PRESENTER: PAUL WILKES

Paul Wilkes is a dynamic Catholic, journalist and author. He has written extensively on the role of religion and religious practice in our culture. He has written about and preached missions on being Catholic today. He has written about what makes a successful Catholic and a successful parish today.

A Parish Mission is a time for parish renewal. Through a series of presentations and discussions, Paul will lead us to reflect more deeply on our faith. Following is the outline for this Parish Mission.

Paul will preach at all the Masses on the weekend of February 20-21.
Paul will give presentations on three successive evenings, February 21-23.

Sunday evening, Feb. 21, 7:00 - 8:30:
Title: “When I Was 17...A Catholic Writer Looks Back on His Life and Forward to Your Life...”
This session will be geared toward youth, but adults, parents and grandparents are welcome as well. It will be good for parents and youth to hear the same message.

Monday and Tuesday evenings will focus on “A New Way of Living a Catholic Life.” These will be geared toward adults, but youth are welcome.

Monday evening, Feb. 22, 7:00 - 8:30:

Title: “Who I Am In the Eyes of God” All are welcome. Invite your neighbors.

Tuesday evening, Feb. 23, 7:00 - 8:30:

Title: “Living a Catholic Life. So Possible. So Good.” All are welcome. Invite your neighbors.

We will have Mass Monday and Tuesday morning, Feb. 22 & 23, at 9:00 AM. Following Monday’s Mass, Paul will lead a discussion about Thomas Merton, a significant Catholic Monk of the last century. Following Tuesday’s Mass, Paul will talk about his life-changing journey to India.

The following weekend, Feb. 27-28, we will have morning refreshments in the church basement after all the Masses and discuss the Parish Mission and continue to reap its benefits. On Wednesday evening, March 3, we will offer a follow-up session to the Mission.
