Mary's School Parish
Staff Mission Statement
St. Mary's Religious
Education Program is geared to the development of faith and Christian
values in its students.
Grades 1-6
study "This Is Our Faith" which studies prayer and faith
development. The 2nd grade text is geared toward preparation for First
Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
Grade 7-8
utilizes "Discovering Programs" of different books to help these
students with their journey of faith and to help build character.

Growing Up Sexually |
Grades 9
uses "The Spirit Program", each issue takes it's theme
from the Sunday Gospel and explores Catholic doctrine and practice as
they flow from the gospels. Students also need to do service hours
in preparation for confirmation.
Grade 10 - 11
uses "Confirmed in a Faithful Community"
which is a two year program preparing students for the sacrament of
Confirmation. Students need to find a Confirmation sponsor and
pick a Confirmation name.

Mission Statement
We the people, of St. Mary's
Parish, are dedicated to teach the youth of our parish through the
Religious Education Program. Through our volunteer catechist and
God's graces we will:

Help build up the kingdom
of God, in our students and community through our studies and prayer

Dedicate special time and
study to prepare for and receive the Sacraments of Eucharist,
Penance and Confirmation.

Help each student recognize
the dignity of each person, their values, and help them grow to
respect themselves and others.
-
Help each student build
their faith to witness God's presence in their lives.

Encourage an appreciation
of each student as sharers in the Church's ministries.
