Youth Group

St. Mary's Youth Group is open to students in grades 7-12 who belong to St. Mary's Parish. Our youth group also consists of volunteers who help make our youth group flourish.
As a youth group we strive to incorporate the eight components of Youth Ministry outlined in the USCCB document, “Renewing the Vision”, in our activities. The eight components are:

• Community Life
• Leadership Development
• Advocacy
• Evangelization
• Catechesis
• Service and Justice
• Worship and Prayer
• Pastoral Care

Living out these components helps us to become active participants in our parish community by living as disciples of Christ. As a youth group we also try to foster the growth of the whole person. Our youth group activities help us grow in personal faith and in faith as a community.

March 21 - Youth Gathering for grades 7-12 at St. Mary's School, Melrose, from 3-4 p.m. All are welcome!

The St. Cloud Diocesan CCW is sponsoring a “SPIRITUAL RETREAT” with the theme “Year of the Priest”. Keynote speaker is Fr. Greg Paffel; also there will be a Question & Answer session with several priests and a deacon on the panel. The Retreat will include rosary, Mass, and the Divine Mercy chaplet. It will be Mar. 6, at St. Louis Church, Paynesville, beginning at 8:00 A.M. Registration fee of $ 15.00 (if postmarked prior to Mar. 1st / $ 20.00 after); includes rolls, beverages & lunch.
